I was making these cookies last night and while unwrapping dozens of Hershey Kisses I wondered why they don't protect the point?! You see the tip of the kisses above isn't pointy, every time I unwrapped a kiss the point would break off. Sure...nobody else will even notice before they pop one of these goodies in their mouth but I noticed. I also wondered why they don't come in a bag already unwrapped for the bakers. I hate having to sit there and unwrap these little morsels.
Perhaps during the holidays Hershey could come out with a separate package of unwrapped ones and keep it on the baking shelf of the grocery store. It might even save them some money. And now that I'm thinking about it I need those little caramels we use for caramel apples to come unwrapped too. Why am I the only one to think of these things? LOL Clearly I have too much time on my hands.

Love your new header! yeah I'm eating kisses right now and noticed the points are broken..bah humbug!
May I suggest putting them in the freezer?I always put my kisses in the freezer for a few hours so that they firm up. No broken points.
Great header picture! They are just so good, that I would never notice the points are broken off. Now I have to get a bag o'kisses and check them out. So should I eat the ones with broken points or perfect points?
Love your header pic. Cant ship kisses unwrapped or if the temp got above room temp they probably wouldn't look like kisses. I think the points would be more likely to break if frozen. Don't know. Nobody cares if the tip is broken (on a kiss that is. Oh did I say that outloud? LOLOL). Caramels...they could ship unwrapped. have you ever made homemade caramel. OMG it is SOOO good. ALSO, look up a recipe called Oklahoma Nut Candy, if you like caramel. It is AWESOME and EASY. Hope things are going well & you are staying warm & dry. Love ya BFF. Barb
Hey guess what?? I was in Wal-mart yesterday and they had caramels unwrapped in the baking section. I also thought that was pretty cool.. although they were tinier little caramel bits and didn't look as fresh and yummy as the cubes. Great idea about the unwrapped kisses.. call Hershey!
