Let it snow!
Let it snow, let it snow, let it SNOW!
It's been 10 years since we lived in a "snowy" climate! Our last time living where it snows was Fairchild AFB in Spokane Washington. We loved living there, Gabby was only 3 when we moved there so snow was a huge deal for her. Snowmen, sledding, hot chocolate and LOADS of warm winter layers put on before stepping out the front door.
I look back now and remember it all so fondly. Some of our best friendships were formed at Fairchild AFB and my dearest friend in the entire world I met there. Of all the bases we have been too since then it is the one I would go back to in a heartbeat. Of course it would be different the second time around because the people I love so much there have moved on as well. But I would still go back, it was a great place to live and there was so much to do...I often find myself missing Spokane.
The weather lady here in England on my favorite morning news show (Daybreak) has been forecasting snow for our area. Looks like near the end of the week we could have a sprinkling of the white stuff. I am so excited it's crazy, especially if you know how much I HATE being cold! It's true...I hate being cold, I hate being hot too but that I am used to. I guess growing up in the desert I just never could deal with really cold weather, I do however LOVE snow! So go figure...it's like the kid who loves ketchup but hates tomatoes, it just makes no sense at all.
I've put out a request to my local friends, if they spot snow falling before I do they have to text me so I can run to the window to see it. I don't care what time of day or night it is I wanna see it. It's funny cause when I know snow is expected I will wake up all hours of the night to look out the window to see if I've missed it falling while asleep. If by chance I did, and there is snow on the ground I WILL wake up everyone in the house and make them go look too. I am nice enough that I might not make them go outside in it until the are fully awake but I will make them go out as soon as humanly possible, I mean I do need an updated picture of Gabby in the snow...last one I have she was just a wee thing.
I love snow.

I been meaning to ask you do a lot of people comment on your accent or are you mostly hanging with other "yanks" ?? LOL
White Christmas in England?? that's the stuff dreams are made of right there...
Snow is not my favorite thing at all but for your sake I do hope you get to see it. We have snow in our long range forecast here in Ohio.
Lyn we've been hanging mostly with yanks but a few english as well. Nobody has said anything to me but I do notice when I am in the grocery store or somewhere buying something and I speak to say thank you or hi they do a double take..and I always think it is then they notice I am not from around here. LOL
Ahhhhhhhhh snow....you can have all the nasty white stuff outside my window & now frozen on my porch! The wind blew it up on my covered porch last night & with the 22 degrees temps...it's frozen. I'll probably break my neck when I go out to get the mail today. I'm loving the sun this morning but not the temperature. So my wish is that Mother Nature move all her snow clouds over the U.K. and let it rip!
Happy Thanksgiving Robin
We had some snow showers this morning. I hate winter!
Happy Thanksgiving!
